Day 12: To Bordeaux Mon Jul 18, 2016

We had a lengthy coach ride today to get to Bordeaux and the wine region to Saint-Émilion. We arrived at lunch time in Saint Emilion, an idyllic Roman-period, World Heritage-listed medieval village. After lunch we took in the hill-top village and the underground cloisters of the Monolithic Church. After we left Saint Emilion, we visited to a local winery, Franc Mayne, where we sampled some of the red wines of Saint Émilion region.
