Day 7: Paris to Bayeux Wed Jul 13, 2016

We left Paris this morning travelling to Bayeux via Giverny, the home of Claude Monet and leader of the Impressionism painting movement. We were provided with a tour of Claude Monet’s house and gardens. The gardens included the famous water garden with its Japanese Bridge and water lilies, which inspired some of Monet’s most famous paintings. We then journeyed through the beautiful Norman countryside to the village of Beuvron en Auge. The region is known for its regional produce including specialty cheeses and cider. Of course we had to sample some.
