Canada & Alaska - 2014

Day 20: Inside Passage — Juneau Mon Jul 07, 2014

We awake this morning to cruise through the Tracy Arm Fjord. Unfortunately there was a fair bit of low cloud which prevented clear views of the high granite walls and the narrow, twisting shoreline with its rocky outcroppings. Later, we arrive in Alaska’s capital, Juneau, set at the foot of grand mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel. Here, we disembarked and took a bus to the airport where we joined a helicopter tour up on to the Mendenhall Glacier. On the glacier we joined a Musher's Camp and took a dogsled ride before heading back on the helicopter.
