Canada & Alaska - 2014

Day 13: Jasper — Sun Peaks Mon Jun 30, 2014

We left Jasper and joined the Yellowhead Highway and re-entered British Columbia heading for Sun Peaks. Just after the border we stopped to take in views of the south face of Mount Robson - the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. We then arrived at Blue River to board a custom-designed boat and skim over the waterways, watching for the grizzly and black bears that are frequently sighted here. Our guide quickly located two black bears which kept out camera trigger fingers busy for an hour. We sat down satisfied for a very nice BBQ lunch before continuing on to Sun Peaks for the evening.
