Canada & Alaska - 2014

We departed Sydney at 10:25 am for our direct flight to Vancouver. Although the flight took a little over 14 hours, we arrived in Vancouver at about 7:30 am on the same day that we left.

The tour provided transfers from Vancouver airport to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in the “Downtown” area of Vancouver. We were fortunate to have our room ready when we checked in so we took a short nap until 1pm. After that, we tried to keep active to overcome jetlag.

We spent some time exploring the local shopping precinct, looking around Canada Place, finding some nice places to eat, or taking in some of the other Waterfront sights. We ate in the hotel restaurant today.
